Electrical Partial Discharge Specialist Job Description

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical power engineering and be skilled in partial discharge testing.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  1. Perform on-site partial discharge testing of high-voltage assets, including switchgear, transformers, and cables. Utilize various PD equipment such as acoustic, thermal, UHF, TEV, and HF sensors.
  2. Supervise electrical installation work to ensure regulatory compliance. Read and interpret single-line diagrams.
  3. This role involves 70% field work and 30% work-from-home.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Power Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of experience in PD and/or LEW. Training will be provided for those without experience.
  • Able to work independently and outdoors.
  • Comfortable with hands-on physical tasks and flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.

Preferred Skills:

  • Ability to read Python code.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar software.
