Job Summary

This role involves supporting learners in various settings during break and lunch times. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and wellbeing of learners, forming strong relationships with them and staff members, and contributing to a positive school community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support learners during break and lunch times across primary and secondary schools
  • Form strong relationships with learners, teachers, and admin staff
  • Ensure learners are safe, happy, and looked after at all times
  • Help resolve conflicts between learners as needed
  • Maintain awareness of and enforce essential agreements put in place by the school
  • Have regular contact and feedback with SLT links
  • Pass on any safeguarding concerns that may arise
  • Participate in whole school events and activities as required
Requirements

  • Able to make relationships and develop rapport with adults and children
  • Calm and approachable demeanor
  • Keenness to be involved in the whole life of the school
  • Willingness to learn and upskill (training in Educare will be provided)
  • A genuine liking for children
  • Well-organized and self-motivated individual
  • Proactive and able to work autonomously
  • Reliable and punctual with a proven track record for commitment to work
