Job Title: Solar Energy System Designer

We are seeking an experienced Solar Energy System Designer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and developing solar power systems that meet the needs of our clients.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and experience with solar PV technologies. You should be proficient in CAD software and have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop solar power systems that meet client requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate solar PV systems with existing infrastructure and building designs
  • Handle structural design submissions to regulatory bodies and ensure compliance with relevant standards
  • Design and develop electrical single-line diagrams, panel schedules, and connection diagrams for solar electric systems
  • Complete detailed electrical calculations related to project specifications (DC and AC)
  • Prepare and review PVSyst reports and PR calculations
  • Assist in getting endorsements from professional engineers and LEWs for engineering calculation documents and drawings

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field
  • Proven experience in solar energy system design and development, preferably in the construction industry
  • Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and permitting processes
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
