Job Title: Executive Chinese Chef

About the Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Chinese Chef to lead our culinary team in a new fine dining restaurant concept.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in modern Chinese cuisine, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to maintain high standards of food quality and production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement menu plans, manage inventory, and optimize supply chain operations.
  • Ensure efficient use of equipment and guide other team members in maintaining kitchen hygiene and safety standards.
  • Maintain a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and open communication among staff.
  • Collaborate with the Restaurant Executive Chef to achieve business objectives and drive sales growth.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Reporting Manager.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or related field.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in modern Chinese cuisine, preferably in a senior leadership role.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of culinary techniques, including wok cooking, steaming, dim sum preparation, and BBQ methods.
  • Prior experience working in a pre-opening team would be advantageous.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and lead a team effectively.
  • Proven understanding and implementation of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) principles.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
