Job Title: Energy Efficiency Specialist
Benchmarking energy consumption and identifying areas for improvement is a crucial task in this role. The job involves conducting site inspections, energy surveys, and audits to ensure the organization's facilities are operating efficiently. This includes collecting, analyzing, and maintaining accurate energy monitoring data and records.
The successful candidate will develop and implement energy policies, systems, and annual improvement plans. They will also be responsible for managing and negotiating energy supply contracts and liaising with external stakeholders. Additionally, they will lead energy-related and workplace safety projects in compliance with legislation, promoting renewable energy and sustainable practices across the organization.
To succeed in this role, you will need to stay up-to-date with relevant energy and environmental legislation. You will provide training and guidance on energy efficiency and conservation, overseeing carbon management and reduction initiatives. Analyzing equipment performance and recommending improvements to increase efficiency and reliability is also an essential part of this job.
Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering or a related field
- Strong understanding of energy regulations and conservation practices
- Experience with energy monitoring systems and data analysis
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills
- Familiarity with carbon management and renewable energy technologies is a plus
- Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or equivalent certification
- Knowledge of ISO 50001 or similar energy management standards
- Experience in Power Plant Industry is an advantage
