About the Role

The Professional Support Lawyer for the APAC Insurance Group will be responsible for managing and executing key knowledge initiatives for the Group, working in collaboration with a range of knowledge and business support personnel throughout the Region.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Core Knowledge Duties

  • Develop the Group's knowledge content plan in collaboration with the Group Knowledge Partners and the Head of Knowledge.
  • Monitor legal developments, legal trends, and regulatory changes, analyze key impacts, and communicate this to the Group, incorporating these changes into other knowledge work products in the Group and more widely.
  • Promote the contribution of know-how and instigate processes to maximize contributions, including attendance at relevant Group meetings and regular Group reminders.
  • Maintain the Firm's intranet platform to provide a comprehensive knowledge resource for the Group, including other knowledge work products and know-how collections.
  • Build greater cross-practice area connections between other professional support lawyers in the Region and other professional support lawyers with the same role globally.

Internal Knowledge and Training Support

  • Create and maintain knowledge content needed by the Group to promote efficient, streamlined work production and support delegation, such as templates, guidance, and process maps.
  • Identify innovative approaches to the improvement of service delivery in both technology and process.
  • Liaise with the Firm's wider Legal Delivery team to develop knowledge work products to be capable of use in conjunction with legal technology.
  • Support the Group's black letter law and legal skills training programme by providing input into the curriculum, developing training and presentation materials, and delivering modules as required.

Market Facing Content

  • Develop content for thought leadership reports, legal publications, client alerts, or client training as required.
  • Monitor and track industry/sector developments relevant to the Group's key clients, feeding into market-facing content and other knowledge work products and deliverables.
