The primary objective of the Biomedical Engineering Assistant is to ensure the optimal functionality and maintenance of biomedical and scientific equipment. This position demands exceptional technical expertise, effective communication skills, and a strong ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks on biomedical and scientific equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and checklists.
- Troubleshoot and repair breakdowns for biomedical and scientific equipment by following manufacturer instructions.
- Provide assistance to user departments with NGEMR-related issues concerning biomedical and scientific equipment.
- Procure and expedite parts orders for breakdown jobs.
- Ensure that scheduled preventive maintenance and breakdown jobs are completed within stipulated timeframes, providing justifications when necessary.
- Facilitate communication between user departments, biomedical and scientific equipment vendors to minimize disruptions to user operations.
- Assist user departments in managing their biomedical and scientific equipment inventory.
- Participate in technical training sessions arranged by the Training Coordinator to enhance knowledge on biomedical and scientific equipment.
- Develop an understanding of IT, Cybersecurity, and EMR Integration-related matters concerning biomedical and scientific equipment.
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma in Engineering
