Senior Mechanical Systems Design Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Systems Design Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our design department, you will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical design process for process plants, including piping, valve, and mechanical equipment calculation, specification, and data sheet development, as well as piping and equipment layout, pipe and equipment support, and material takeoff.
Main Responsibilities:- Oversee mechanical design for process plant projects, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate design, procurement, installation, and testing and commissioning work.
- Evaluate and approve vendor proposals and submissions during procurement, detailed design, and installation stages.
- Prepare and submit mechanical designs and resubmissions to project consultants and clients according to project schedules and clear submittal comments.
- Manage equipment, piping, and valve suppliers/subcontractors to meet project schedules and quality requirements for design, installation, and testing and commissioning.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in mechanical design (such as piping design, etc.) in process plants (water/wastewater treatment plants, incineration plants, etc.) with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Possess strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels within the organization.
- Showcase advanced computer literacy in commonly used software applications such as Navisworks, Bentley View, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
