Backend Software Engineer Job Description

At our organization, we are dedicated to protecting our users from harmful content and abusive behaviors. Our Trust and Safety (TnS) platform team is responsible for achieving this goal by building moderation desktop applications, Low-code engine & platform, and all kinds of supportive platforms across TnS organization.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the server-side development of data products, architecture design, technical solution design, and demand development of data platforms. Additionally, they will design data-driven solutions based on business needs and work closely with product managers, front-end developers, data warehouse developers, and other roles to achieve common goals.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or above in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
  • More than 3 years of experience in software development.
  • Familiarity with at least 2 programming languages including Golang, Python, or Java.
  • Knowledge of multiple big data processing/analysis tools/frameworks such as Hadoop, Mapreduce, Hive, Storm, Spark, Kylin, Scribe, Kafka, HBase, Canal, and Sqoop.
  • Strong coding capabilities and fast trouble-shooting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and a passion for continuous learning of new technologies.
