We are seeking a seasoned culinary leader to fill the role of Sous Chef, responsible for overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations and ensuring seamless service delivery.

About the Job

As a key member of our team, the Sous Chef will be responsible for managing menu planning, inventory, supply chain management, quality control, and maintaining portion sizes. This individual will also create and refine menus with new or existing culinary creations, ensuring variety and quality of servings. Additionally, they will approve and finalize dishes before service to ensure presentation and taste meet quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary arts, preferably with a degree or skills certificate in Culinary Arts / Restaurant Management and Operations. 5-7 years of relevant experience, preferably in Japanese/Western fine dining, is required. Strong communication skills and experience working with Japanese businesses, ideally possessing a deep understanding of Japanese business culture and communication styles, are essential.

Prior experience working in a pre-opening team would be advantageous. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team, possess good communication and interpersonal skills, and have a strong understanding and execution of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP).
