Legal Expert in Trading and Construction

We are seeking a seasoned legal expert to join our team and provide authoritative legal counsel to support our business departments, traders, and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Singapore law, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, general corporate law, and litigation related to trading and construction.
Main Responsibilities:- Provide expert legal guidance to our business teams, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Lead the legal assistance on business development activities, including the establishment of new joint ventures, divestments, and acquisitions of shares or assets.
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts, as well as developing and updating relevant templates and standard Terms & Conditions for all businesses in Singapore.
- Evaluate and ensure adherence to applicable laws on corporate secretarial matters, including company incorporation, corporate secretarial services, business registration, renewal matters, and board and shareholder meetings.
- A degree in law (LLB) from a reputable university and admission to the Singapore bar.
- A minimum of 8-12 years of experience in either a law firm or as a legal counsel, preferably with experience in trading, distribution, property development, and construction-related fields.
- Expertise in mergers and acquisitions, general corporate law, knowledge of litigation, and ability to travel to Malaysia for M&A roles.
