Senior Legal Expert for Trading and Property Development

This is a highly challenging role that requires the ideal candidate to have a solid understanding of trading, property development, and construction-related legal aspects. The successful applicant will be part of a dynamic team that focuses on developing a comprehensive legal framework for our businesses.
Job DescriptionThe position holder will provide expert advice and guidance on all aspects of Singapore law and other relevant laws, regulations, and company rules. This includes:
- Legal advisory work: drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts, as well as providing guidance on corporate secretarial matters.
- Mergers and Acquisitions: leading the legal assistance on business development activities, including establishment of new JVs, divestments, and acquisitions of shares or assets.
- Corporate Secretarial: directly supervising or coordinating incorporation of companies, corporate secretarial, business registration, and renewal matters.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in law (LLB) from a reputable university and be called to the Singapore bar.
- A minimum of 8-12 years of experience in either a law firm or as a legal counsel, preferably with expertise in trading & distribution, property development, and construction-related areas.
- Strong knowledge of mergers and acquisitions, general corporate law, and litigation.
- The ability to travel to Malaysia for M&A jobs.
