Professional Social Services Specialist

This position focuses on delivering professional social services, supporting individuals in need.

  • Casework and Support Services:
    • Respond to client inquiries and provide relevant information and referral services.
    • Support intake processes, including conducting financial assessments and home visits as required.
    • Assist with preparing social reports and applying for aid schemes.
  • Senior Mobility Funding (SMF):
    • Manage SMF applications and ensure accurate filing of documents.
    • Create and update accounts for clients receiving SMF devices.
  • Customer Service and Feedback Management:
    • Address client feedback and complaints.
    • Maintain open communication with clients, caregivers, and internal staff.
  • Administrative Duties:
    • Monitor referral and admissions data for reporting purposes.
    • Provide administrative support to the social work team.
  • Other Duties:
    • Assist with ad-hoc assignments and special projects as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Diploma in Social Work or relevant field; GCE 'A' / 'O' Levels with relevant experience considered.
  • Experience in healthcare or community service settings preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Empathetic, compassionate, and able to work effectively with elderly clients and caregivers.
  • Team-oriented with ability to work independently when necessary.
  • Well-organised, detail-oriented, and proactive.
