Industrial Automation Engineer Role

Drive innovation across industrial product lines as an Industrial Automation Engineer. Our Singapore-based R&D centre is at the forefront of developing advanced technologies, including data capture devices, industrial controllers, and robotics.

Your expertise will contribute to smart factory and Industry 4.0 initiatives, serving global manufacturing and logistics markets.

  • Design and develop hardware systems for industrial controller products.
  • Work across the full development cycle – from schematic design and PCB layout to testing, validation, and release.
  • Troubleshoot and enhance existing designs for performance, cost optimization, and feature upgrades.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software, mechanical, QA, and external vendors.
  • Support compliance testing and ensure EMC/EMI standards are met.
  • Engage with suppliers on technical requirements, testing protocols, and resolution of design issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering (or a closely related discipline).
  • At least 7+ years of experience in hardware development, ideally in the industrial, robotics, or embedded systems space.
  • Analog circuit design (DACs, ADCs, power supply circuits, digital I/O, etc.).
  • Schematic and PCB design tools (e.g., Mentor Graphics or similar).
  • EMC/EMI design techniques for noise reduction.
  • Circuit simulation, testing, debugging, and documentation.
  • Able to work independently and proactively solve complex hardware issues.
