Job Title: Social Engagement Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate individual to join our team as a Social Engagement Specialist. In this dynamic role, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of seniors by planning and implementing engaging activities that promote social interaction and well-being.


About the Role:

In this rewarding position, you will be responsible for coordinating social activities, recruiting volunteers, and collaborating with other teams to ensure seamless delivery of services. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  1. Planning and coordinating social activities: Designing and implementing games, arts and crafts, exercise classes, and outings to meet the diverse needs and interests of clients.
  2. Recruiting and training volunteers: Attracting and supporting volunteers to assist with activities and ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality support.
  3. Collaborating with other teams: Working closely with other departments to ensure a smooth and effective delivery of services.
  4. Maintaining records and evaluating outcomes: Keeping accurate records of client participation and activity outcomes to inform future service development.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant qualification: A degree in social work or a related field such as gerontology or psychology.
  • Experience in social work: At least 2 years of experience in a similar role or in a field related to social work.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: The ability to communicate effectively with clients, staff, and stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills: The ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility: The ability to work varied hours including evenings and weekends.
