Senior Payment Legal Advisor

The Senior Legal Counsel, Payments role is part of the S1 Legal & Administration Line and requires a specialist payments legal advisor. The ideal candidate will have experience in FinTech and payment matters, as well as managing outside counsel for payments projects.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialist payments legal advice to support business operations;
- Advise on compliance with all aspects of Singapore/Hong Kong/international payments laws and regulations, including license requirements;
- Manage outside counsel for payments projects;
- Handle regulatory requests and manage working relationships with financial regulators;
- Draft, review, negotiate and administer legal and commercial documentation;
- Maintain awareness of new relevant laws and regulations affecting the organization.
- Common law qualified lawyer with at least 3 years post-qualification experience;
- Experience in dealing with issues relating to FinTech and payment matters required;
- Experience dealing with MAS, HKMA or other relevant regulators/authorities required;
- Interest in FinTech and Internet industry;
- Strong problem-solving, analytical and organizational skills;
- Proactive approach and ability to handle matters independently;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Fluency in spoken and written English and proficiency in Chinese to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
