Senior Law Enforcement Operations Specialist

The Law Enforcement Operations (LEO) team at Snap Inc. are digital first-responders, protecting users and the public at-large.

The team handles global law enforcement requests for user data and responds as legally permissible and consistent with company policies, safeguarding user privacy rights.

As a member of the LEO team, you will:

  • Accurately and efficiently process legal requests from US and global law enforcement, including complex legal requests
  • Participate in on-call rotation for law enforcement emergency requests and internal escalations
  • Contribute to Quality Assurance (QA) program by reviewing team members' work product and providing constructive feedback
  • Review reported content, which may be graphic, and take action as needed
  • Tap into subject matter expertise to engage in policy improvement discussions
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, tooling, and policies; provide recommendations and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions
  • Use technical expertise to enhance tooling for improved LEO agent and law enforcement experiences
  • Design and implement new operational workflows, track progress with project plans, and consider stakeholder impacts
  • Participate in trial appearances as a Records Custodian on behalf of the company
  • Handle inbound and outbound calls from law enforcement, providing helpful support within policy guidelines
  • Create and deliver internal training materials
  • Serve as a partner and subject-matter expert for vendor teams
  • Collaborate with in-house counsel on escalations
  • Model leadership behaviors and serve as an active mentor for others across the organization

Requirements:

  • Strong attention to detail with proven ability to analyze lengthy legal documents
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating ability to structure thought process and adjust messaging depending on the audience
  • Proven track record of identifying gaps and implementing new processes
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple competing tasks, communicate clearly, and frequently with leaders
  • Demonstrated ability to track deliverables and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong data analysis skills, including working with large data sets to solve business problems and provide insights via data visualization software
  • Previous experience reviewing sensitive content in a moderation-related role
  • Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, across multiple levels of the organization
  • Experience driving process optimization projects and identifying performance improvement opportunities
  • Experience developing and managing project plans, timelines, dependencies, and risks
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather requirements and align project objectives
  • Experience in change management activities, including designing and executing communications and training plans
  • Willingness to travel within the US and participate in testimony appearances on behalf of the company

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working directly with law enforcement in a professional setting
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Near native fluency in French, German, Arabic, or Nordic languages
