Bunker Trading Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled professional to oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of bunker trading activities. This includes sourcing cargo from suppliers, ensuring transportation readiness, evaluating pricing, and assessing sales performance.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement policies, strategies, and plans for bunker trading operations.
  • Manage bunker trading activities, including sourcing cargo, providing price quotations to customers, and conducting sales evaluations.
  • Monitor and manage risk exposure of the bunker trading book to protect against adverse market movements.
  • Manage consumer credit facilities and coordinate with the Finance department to ensure timely payments from customers and settlements with suppliers.
  • Coordinate with the Legal team to manage contracts, resolve disputes, and ensure adherence to global sanctions and policies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Policies Development: Strong analytical skills to develop effective policies and strategies for bunker trading operations.
  • Risk Management: Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with bunker trading activities.
  • Cargo Sourcing: Experience in sourcing cargo from suppliers and negotiating prices.
