Bid Project Manager Job Description

At the core of every successful bid lies a well-executed project. As a Bid Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that projects transition smoothly from bid to execution phase.

This position demands strong organizational skills and attention to detail as you prepare, organize, and validate project launches. Collaborating closely with Bid Managers and Capture Leaders, you will establish and update project requirements baselines, driving the success of our business forward.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Define and maintain project execution baseline, encompassing project structure, work packages, partner and supplier contracts, management plans, costs, budgets, and schedules.
  • Establish and maintain key project decision data, including contingencies, assumptions, strategy, and business case.
  • Initiate projects by identifying key stakeholders, setting up project teams, organizing structuring activities, and allocating project requirements.
  • Manage financial aspects related to acquisition strategy, including supplier consultations, negotiations, contract signing, execution, and closure.
  • Lead project launch reviews, involving all stakeholders, and ensure proper documentation such as work breakdown structures, schedules, budgets, and project charters.
  • Execute, monitor, and control projects, ensuring adherence to stakeholder commitments and managing risks and opportunities.
  • Control project requirements, costs, and schedules throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Deliver projects within constraints related to cost, schedule, and resources.
  • Manage project quality and ensure customer and stakeholder satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • Degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, project management, or a related field.
  • PMP Certification or equivalent (e.g., IPMA).
  • Proven leadership skills with good interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • At least 5 years of project management experience in a multinational or large enterprise environment.
