Substance Abuse Recovery Specialist

In the role of a Substance Abuse Recovery Specialist, you will be part of a team that helps individuals affected by addiction transform their lives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver counselling and case work support for clients dealing with addiction issues and their family members.
  • Collaborate with authorities and community partners to provide necessary resources and services for clients.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, investigations, and intervention planning to ensure optimal care.
  • Develop and lead face-to-face individual and group sessions, as well as workshops on substance abuse topics.
  • Compile and submit comprehensive reports and case recordings in a timely manner.
Requirements:
  • Hold a degree in Counselling recognised by relevant accreditation bodies.
  • Have at least two years of experience working with offenders and ex-offenders.
  • Be certified in Substance Addiction Counselling or possess Motivational interviewing training.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and written communication skills in English and one other local language.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
