Job Title: Shipping Operations Specialist

 

As a Shipping Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods from one place to another. Your role will involve proposing cargo stowage plans, negotiating ship contracts, and planning vessels' routes.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement optimized bunker calculations to minimize costs and environmental impact.
  • Negotiate and finalize LOI, ship contracts (STS, mooring, agency, towage) to ensure smooth operations.
  • Plan and execute vessels' routes to maximize efficiency and reduce risks.
  • Issue voyage instructions to crew members for safe and successful journeys.
  • Screen and assess vessels for compliance with industry standards.
  • Arrange bunkering of time-chartered fleet and STS transfers to meet operational needs.
  • Contribute to ad-hoc project and system enhancements to improve overall performance.

 

Requirements:

  • Degree Holder in Shipping, Maritime Studies, Business, Economics, Logistics, International Finance or relevant education.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on Shipping/Vessel Operations experience in the Commodities industry or Shipping industry handling Tankers (DPP/CPP).
  • Able to handle MR sized VL's/VLCC/Aframax/LR/Suezmax.
  • Highly organized, meticulous, team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
