Oil & Gas Project Manager

This position oversees the technical integrity of engineering and design activities across Instrumentation, Control and Telecom disciplines. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe, cost-efficient and timely development of project designs.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing direction to technical services in Instrumentation, Control and Telecom engineering elements of the project scope
  • Coordinating with Engineering Manager, discipline Heads and stakeholders to resolve technical issues
  • Approving deviations from design requirements with delegated authority
  • Investigating proposed technical deviations to ensure they do not compromise safety
  • Leading the selection of suitable technology, equipment and systems
  • Endorsing design calculation reports and system studies
  • Providing technical guidance during engineering stages of the project
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science or Higher in Instrumentation & Controls Engineering from a recognized university
  • Minimum 15 years' experience in Instrumentation, Control and Telecom design in Oil & Gas Industry
  • Familiarity with Shell DEP's and international design codes and standards
  • Familiarity with Instrumentation, Control and Telecom software and design review
  • Strong technical, planning, communication, reporting and leadership skills
