Job Title: Data Center Operations Site Lead

Description:

The role of the Data Center Operations Site Lead is to oversee the management and control of all plant, mechanical and electrical systems in a data center. This includes implementing industry best practices, innovative maintenance techniques, and statutory and contractual compliance.

As a Data Center Operations Site Lead, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to multi-skilled engineering operations teams. This includes directly employed staff and appointed vendors. You will ensure that all staff and vendors adhere to client and company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage site operations, including effective hiring, motivation, development, training, and discipline of site operation technicians and maintenance teams.
  • Monitor KPIs and up-time requirements.
  • Support site reviews, including maintenance standards, equipment replacement, security, change control, Tier adherence, and operational risk.
  • Ensure delivery of planned and reactive activities utilizing the CMMS platform within financial operating targets.
  • Perform additional tasks as required by the Data Centre Operations Manager and Client Critical Facilities Manager.
  • Provide advice and consultation on facilities engineering matters to operate the client's facilities.
  • Responsibility for site repair and maintenance carried out by subcontractors to ensure work completion, quality, and method of working comply with specification and ordinance requirements.
  • Monitor, measure, and report upon the performance of all specialist contractors in terms of their ability to carry out the work against the agreed contractual budget.
  • Lead and support meetings regularly with contractors, specialist vendors, and suppliers to ensure required standards are established and maintained, and develop corrective action plans when or if performance falls below expectations.
