Disability Employment Opportunities

This is a key role that enables you to make a difference in the lives of people with disabilities. As a Disability Employment Specialist, you will be working closely with employers and individuals with disabilities to promote inclusive hiring practices and career development opportunities.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of disability employment strategies and be able to develop and implement initiatives that drive positive change.
You will work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including employers, government agencies, and community organizations to advance the goals of disability employment.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement sector strategies to promote disability-inclusive hiring
- Engage and cultivate 'queen bee' companies to advocate for disability-inclusive practices within their sectors
- Identify and engage potential employers to generate interest in disability-inclusive hiring, utilizing initiatives like the Open Door Programme, schemes, and grants
- Plan, manage, and track employer progress on customized hiring plans for persons with disabilities
- Provide advice and support to improve employer practices based on the Enabling Mark framework
- Create engagement materials and provide consultancy on disability employment to employers
- Maintain accurate records of engagement activities and prepare reports for management and stakeholders
- Support events organized by SG Enable or partners
- Degree in any discipline
- At least 3 years of work experience; experience in disability employment or related field
