Job Overview

This role is responsible for leading piping material engineering activities and ensuring compliance with project HSE requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in piping materials, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead piping material engineering activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality requirements.
  2. Coordinate with other organisational units to interface with clients and stakeholders.
  3. Maintain a positive and safe working environment at work locations.
  4. Comply with the company code of conduct and ensure ethical behavior.
  5. Review and provide technical inputs on various Piping material related specifications and associated technical matters.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in an engineering setup for upstream oil & gas projects (platforms & FPSO projects) serving in the capacity of a Lead Engineer and accrued thereof a minimum experience of 4 years in the capacity of a Lead Piping Material Engineer.
  • Experience in software usage for Piping material quantity estimate, procurement planning, material traceability, and delivery to site.
  • Design experience with respect to typical Piping Engineering deliverables, such as specifications, data sheets, MTO, TQ, TBA, and Supplier Drawing Reviews.
  • Excellent understanding of project phases, milestones, and deliverables.
  • In-depth knowledge in Piping material engineering/procurement and cost-effectiveness.
  • Thorough understanding and knowledge of oil and natural gas industry standards such as ASME, API (American Petroleum Institute), BS, European Regulations, and other relevant standards and guidelines.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical/Material Engineering or other equivalent engineering specialisation.
Skills:
  • Excellent technical communication skills with proven ability to present technical issues to design teams, client technical authorities, and client's project management representatives and approving bodies.
  • Self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision, make sound decisions, take independent action, analyse problems, and provide focused solutions to assigned projects.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to work well with people at all levels in the organisation.
  • Proficient in common business software applications such as MS Office, MS Excel, and Navisworks.
