The Telenor Procurement Company (TPC) was established in 2017 and operates as a subsidiary of the Telenor Group, based out of Singapore. We deliver Global Category Management as a service to the Telenor Business Units and beyond, taking full responsibility for the end-to-end Sourcing process and performance of global spend categories.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Category Manager for IT Applications at TPC. As part of our IT Sourcing team, you will report to the Head of IT Applications Category and work closely with corporate in Telenor and all of the Business Units. Your key responsibilities will include:

· Developing a comprehensive understanding of the IT Applications category and contributing to end-to-end category strategy development

· Collaborating with user departments for preparing and executing the strategy, innovative analysis and proactively addressing procurement needs

· Identifying, leading and executing cost-saving initiatives that deliver value in the procurement of goods and services for the company

· Preparing and leading Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis during procurement processes and participating in negotiations

· Managing resources and stakeholders in a sourcing process

· Implementing category sourcing strategy and skilled approach to vendor management

· Ensuring compliance with policies, processes and achieving targets

· Measuring progress, savings, and targets

· Developing and preparing periodic reports on all procurement activities

· Ensuring contract management, implementation, and follow-up activities

· Understanding supply markets and performing thorough supplier prequalification for the category

· Maintaining awareness of latest buying techniques and theories and developing application within the company

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

· Strong ability to communicate and interact effectively across organizational and cultural boundaries, internal and external

· Result-oriented, demonstrating excellent collaboration abilities

· Ability to work with high execution power and passion

· Understanding of the vendor market

· Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

· Experience with data processing tools, e.g., Excel or Tableau

· Demonstrated commitment, maturity, flexibility, and speed in response to business and challenges

· Commercial and negotiation skills

· High level of integrity and ethics

Qualifications and Experience Requirements

You should hold a Bachelor's degree in Technology, Finance, or Business or equivalent. An MBA will be preferred. Additionally, you should have more than 5 years of experience in a procurement/contract management/vendor management role preferably with experience in the IT Applications area.

· Proficient in use of MS Excel, performing data analyses, and correlation, and able to produce and draw conclusions based on the analysis

· Broad experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other applications & other relevant tools

· Have deep insight into the end-to-end Sourcing process and strategies

· Good presentation and communication skills with proficiency in English with ability to influence colleagues and decision makers

Estimated salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
