Business Continuity Management Director

The COB & CM Senior Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless functioning of Citi's Continuity of Business Office. This individual will be responsible for managing professional teams and departments, integrating subject matter expertise, and contributing to standards that guide others. With a deep understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function, this leader will coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the entire function. Excellent communication and diplomacy skills are required to guide, influence, and convince others, particularly senior management and external customers. The COB & CM Senior Manager will have full management responsibility of a team, including management of people, budget, and planning, as well as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
Key Responsibilities
Supports the Continuity of Business Office
Provides general management and leadership in various activities
Participates in and advances a wide array of business initiatives
Ensures the seamless functioning of the CoB organization
Forms trusting relationships with senior executives and influences across Citi's various Sectors and Regions
Partners with the CoB Program Management and Sector & Region Leads on the communication strategy and materials
Provides program oversight of the CoB tactical and strategic deliverables, ensuring quality, efficiency, and accuracy
Leads and coordinates a wide range of activities at the direction of the CoB Head
Collaborates, plans, and organizes with and through people to gather information from across the organization and external committees to report and make business recommendations
Facilitates a process to ensure that business continuity plans are viable, executable, implemented, and tested
Promotes business continuity awareness and education
Identifies gaps in performance and associated risks, recommends corrective actions, and partners with stakeholders and management to develop Corrective Action Plans (CAPs)
Appropriately assesses risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervising the activity of others and creating accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards
Qualifications
6-10 years of relevant experience in COB (Continuity of Business) & Crisis Management
Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Excellent communication skills are required to document policies, procedures, and standards
Demonstrated planning and organizational skills
Ability to effectively interact with senior management and persuasiveness to solicit management and staff cooperation
Education
Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred
