Job Title

About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned Investment Strategist with expertise in long/short hedge fund management, specifically focusing on Indian equity markets.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing and evaluating investment opportunities, monitoring risk, and supporting the Chief Investment Officer in strategy execution for a pan-Asia long/short equity fund.

  • Conduct fundamental research and analysis on Indian equities across sectors.
  • Perform in-depth due diligence on investment targets, including company management meetings and industry events in India.
  • Develop investment theses and prepare detailed reports for the CIO; assist in executing trades and managing position sizing.
  • Construct and monitor portfolio exposures in the India book, track P&L and attribute performance.
  • Identify and manage key risks to ensure capital preservation and minimize drawdowns.

Key Responsibilities include:

Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field.
  • Chartered Accountant or CFA holder is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in equity research, portfolio management, or hedge fund investing with significant exposure to Indian markets.
  • Strong understanding of Indian macroeconomic trends, sector dynamics, and listed equities.
  • Track record of investment performance and strong valuation skills.
  • Experience with market neutral or absolute return strategies is a plus.
