Product Safety Expert in Semiconductor Equipment: Ensure Compliance with International Standards
This role focuses on product compliance with international safety standards through pre-audit design reviews, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and coordination with third-party auditors for necessary compliance certifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Pre-Audit Assessments to verify product designs comply with international safety standards.
- Collaborate with Design Engineers to integrate safety requirements early in the product development lifecycle.
- Identify Safety Hazards and recommend design modifications to mitigate risks.
- Stay Updated on Regulations related to semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
- Translate Regulatory Requirements into actionable design and testing criteria.
- Facilitate On-Site Audits as a primary liaison between our company and external certification bodies.
- Prepare Documentation required for compliance audits.
- Validate Safety-Critical Components in collaboration with test engineers.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Safety, or a related field. Experience: 3+ years of experience in product safety engineering, preferably in semiconductor equipment, industrial machinery, or high-tech manufacturing. Compliance Certifications: Proven track record of achieving compliance certifications (e.g., CE, UL, IEC 60204, SEMI S2/S8). Skills: Strong understanding of electrical/mechanical safety principles and hazard mitigation, familiarity with risk assessment methodologies (e.g., FMEA, HAZOP), and proficiency in CAD/PLM tools (e.g., SolidEdge).
