Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Product Safety Engineer to join our innovative product development team specializing in high-precision semiconductor equipment. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with international safety standards by conducting design reviews prior to audits, working closely with cross-functional teams, and coordinating with external auditors to secure compliance certifications. Your expertise will play a key role in mitigating risks, safeguarding reliability, and upholding the highest safety standards for our advanced semiconductor equipment.

Job Scope:
  • Conduct pre-audit design reviews to ensure compliance with international safety standards (IEC, UL, SEMI, CE, NFPA, ISO).
  • Collaborate with design engineers to integrate safety requirements early in the product development process.
  • Interpret global safety regulations and translate them into actionable design and testing criteria.
  • Coordinate with third-party certification bodies (e.g., TÜV, UL, CSA) and manage compliance audits.
  • Support and perform safety testing, including electrical checks, fault simulations, and hazard assessments.
  • Lead risk assessments (FMEA, Hazard Analysis) and maintain safety compliance documentation.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Legal) and provide safety training where needed.
Requirements:
  • Candidates with experience in product safety engineering, preferably in semiconductor equipment, industrial machinery, or high-tech manufacturing.
  • Proven track record of achieving compliance certifications (e.g., CE, UL, IEC 60204, SEMI S2/S8)
  • Familiarity with safety standards such as CE, IEC 60204, NFPA 79
  • Experience with risk assessment methodologies (e.g., FMEA, HAZOP
  • Proficiency in CAD/PLM tools (e.g., SolidEdge) for design review is a plus.
