We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fundraising Strategist to lead our organization's fundraising initiatives.

This role is pivotal in developing and executing effective fundraising strategies to support our mission and programs. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of securing major gifts, grants, and managing successful campaigns.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with excellent persuasion and negotiation skills, as well as strong people leadership and management skills. They will also possess excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic Fundraising Planning:

Develop a comprehensive financial sustainability plan with clear goals, budget, and fundraising strategies aligned with the organization's vision and mission.

Work closely with senior management team to identify fundraising priorities and opportunities, and set annual fundraising targets and performance metrics to measure success.

Identify and pursue new funding opportunities, including grants, sponsorships, and partnerships.

Foster collaboration across all areas of the organization to ensure alignment in achieving fundraising goals.


Donor Cultivation & Stakeholder Management:

Identify, cultivate, and solicit financial contributions and gifts from individuals, corporations, and foundations.

Build and maintain long-term relationships with donors and stakeholders.

Develop personalized stewardship plans to recognize and engage donors.

Represent the organization at relevant events and engage with key supporters to build lasting connections.


Grant Writing & Proposal Development:

Research and apply for grants that align with the organization's programs and initiatives.

Develop compelling proposals and reports to secure funding from diverse sources.


Event Planning & Campaigns:

Lead, plan, and execute all fundraising activities, including major donor cultivation, online campaigns, and special events.

Plan and execute fundraising events and campaigns to generate financial support and community engagement.

Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials for campaigns.


Framework and Process Oversight:

Enhance and formalize donor engagement and management processes.

Uphold legal and ethical standards in fundraising practices, ensuring transparency, honesty, and accountability in all interactions with donors and stakeholders.


Qualifications:

Degree holder in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Communications, or related field.

Relevant working experience with minimum 6 to 8 years of experience in fundraising, with a proven track record of securing major gifts, grants, and managing successful campaigns.

Experience in the social service sector preferred.

Familiarity with digital fundraising strategies and tools.

Excellent persuasion and negotiation skills, with ability to inspire and influence others.

Strong people leadership and management skills, with experience in team development and collaborating across teams.

Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to analyze data and derive insights to inform strategic decisions.
