Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled engineer to join our team in performing system integration for the next generation Air Traffic Management Systems. As part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for project management and supervision of operations maintenance for mission-critical backhaul and transmission networks and system infrastructure that support Air Navigation Systems.

The team will also perform network and system integration for Air Traffic Management Systems. Opportunities exist to work on network infrastructures such as fibre networks, data bridges, and System Wide Information Management (SWIM) critical to ensuring Air Navigation Systems meet dynamic demands of Air Traffic Control (ATC) operations, thereby contributing to safety and efficient air traffic movement management in Singapore's Flight Information Region.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage operations and maintenance, as well as enhancement of network infrastructures including fibre networks, data bridges, and SWIM, ensuring safe provision of Air Navigation Services (ANS) according to international standards and industry best practices.
  2. Work closely with internal and external stakeholders including operational and technical users, consultants, system owners, auditors, regulators, original equipment manufacturers, vendors, and contractors throughout entire system lifecycle from project initiation to system replacement.
  3. Undertake project management activities including planning, budgeting, project tracking, contract variations, change request management, and ensuring overall quality and integrity of project delivery.
  4. Perform network and system integration activities and Application Programming Interface (API) and network infrastructure administration and management.
  5. Participate in system procurement activities including preparation of tender documentation, vendor evaluation, and technical reviews.
  6. Implement and deploy systems including testing, commissioning, and software upgrade activities.

Requirements:

We seek candidates trained in Software Engineering, Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering, or Information Systems Management disciplines or equivalents. You should possess knowledge and experience in network infrastructure design, operations, and deployment, management of network switches, firewalls, and use of network management tools.

You should have good understanding of High Availability, Resiliency, and Disaster Recovery and familiar with Cybersecurity principles and IT risk management. You must have good understanding of relevant policies from respective Code of Practices, guidelines, and best practices and apply during project implementation.

Candidates should be self-motivated, driven, assertive, and analytical with positive work attitude and ability to work well in a team as well as independently.

Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills are required.

Appointment designation will commensurate with your relevant work experience. Successful candidates will be offered a 3-year contract in the first instance and may be considered for placement on a permanent tenure or subsequent contract renewal.
