Research and Development Position in Air Traffic Management

Job Description: The Leidos Air Traffic Management (ATM) Research and Collaboration Centre in Singapore is seeking a skilled individual to join our team as an R&D Associate. This role offers the opportunity to research, develop, and implement cutting-edge technology that will revolutionize air traffic management.

The successful candidate will be part of a collaborative environment where they will work closely with industry and academic partners to integrate AI models into ATM decision support systems. This position requires strong analytical skills, experience with machine learning algorithms, and a passion for innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research on optimization techniques and machine learning models relevant to transportation systems.
  • Collect, process, and analyze air traffic data relevant to the project.
  • Develop or use existing simulation platforms to validate developed algorithms and models.
  • Design and build prototypes or intelligent tools.
  • Collaborate effectively with industry and academic partners to integrate AI models into ATM decision support systems.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Optimization, Artificial Intelligence, Software, Transportation, or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Java, C/C++.
  • Experience with machine learning algorithms and predictive modeling.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
