Customer Service Specialist

As a key player in our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring seamless coordination of import and export shipments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, bookings, and shipment tracking.
  • BUILD STRONG CLIENT RELATIONSHIPS through regular and clear communication.
  • Coordinate with transporters, permit declaring agents, and carriers to ensure efficient and timely delivery of goods.
  • Monitor shipments and provide real-time updates to customers to maintain transparency and trust.
  • Handle customer feedback professionally and resolve issues promptly to prevent escalation.
  • Prepare and verify shipping documents to meet customs and regulatory requirements, guaranteeing compliance and accuracy.
  • Process invoices accurately and follow up on payments to ensure smooth financial transactions.
  • Liaise with the finance team to resolve billing discrepancies and optimize financial performance.
  • Assist the sales team with rate quotations, follow-ups, and post-booking coordination to drive business growth.
  • Maintain accurate shipment records for operations and audits, providing valuable insights for process improvements.
  • Suggest enhancements to improve customer experience and efficiency, driving continuous improvement and excellence.
Requirements:
  • Minimum O-Level education.
  • 1 year of relevant work experience preferred, particularly in logistics or freight forwarding; entry-level candidates with strong willingness to learn will be considered.
  • Knowledge of sea and air freight procedures is an advantage, but training will be provided for entry-level candidates.
  • Positive attitude, good communication skills, and ability to manage customer disputes effectively are essential.
  • Knowledge of costing/pricing is advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment is crucial.
  • Proficiency in English and Mandarin is required to liaise with Mandarin-speaking customers and partners.
