Lead Optical Transceiver Firmware Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Firmware Engineer to lead our optical transceiver development team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, testing, and debugging firmware for our optical transceivers.

  • Firmware Development: You will be responsible for writing, debugging, and testing firmware for our optical transceivers using C or C++. This will involve working closely with our hardware engineers to ensure seamless integration between the firmware and the transceiver's hardware.
  • Hardware Integration: Your role will require collaboration with our hardware engineers to guarantee that the firmware works in harmony with the transceiver's hardware components.
  • Testing and Validation: You will be responsible for thoroughly testing the firmware to ensure it meets performance and reliability requirements.
  • Problem Solving: As a firmware engineer, you will need to debug and resolve issues with both the firmware and hardware integration.
  • Performance Optimization: Your expertise will be required to optimize the firmware for speed, efficiency, and power consumption.
  • Documentation: You will be responsible for maintaining detailed documentation of the firmware code and functionality.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience in firmware development, embedded systems, and optical transceivers.
  • Possession of a Master's Degree or Ph.D. may be preferred or required for more senior positions.
