Job Description

The firmware engineer will design, implement, test, and debug firmware for optical transceivers. This role requires a deep understanding of both hardware and software.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Writing, debugging, and testing firmware for optical transceivers.
  • Collaborating with hardware engineers to ensure the firmware works seamlessly with the transceiver's hardware.
  • Thoroughly testing firmware to ensure it meets performance and reliability requirements.
  • Debugging and resolving issues with firmware and hardware integration.
  • Optimizing firmware for speed, efficiency, and power consumption.
  • Maintaining detailed documentation of firmware code and functionality.
Required Skills and Qualifications

This role requires a strong foundation in firmware development, embedded systems, and optical transceivers.

Typically, a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is required.

Relevant experience in firmware development, embedded systems, and optical transceivers is highly desirable.

Master's Degree or Ph.D. may be preferred or required for more senior positions.
