Broadcast Engineering Career Opportunity

The Broadcast Engineer is a key professional responsible for maintaining the technical infrastructure of a broadcasting station, ensuring seamless transmission of audio and visual content.


Job Description:

Our ideal candidate will be responsible for managing live and recorded media acquisition via Satellite, Fiber, and IP Technology. This involves working with various equipment and systems to guarantee smooth audio and video content transmission.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Acquiring feeds through Fiber and Satellite, adjusting audio formats according to our requirements, and providing live event sources for transmission.
  • Having in-depth knowledge of AV technology, including video formats, multi-language audio tracks, and equipment setup and troubleshooting.
  • Uploading ingest schedules into our scheduling application and checking live feeds routed properly to our ingest platform.
  • Testing audio and video quality of given links during live broadcasts.
  • Operating and coordinating with core technical facilities for live feed acquisition via satellite, fiber, or IP Technology.
  • Monitoring server, storage, network switch, power supply, and other equipment.
  • Performing quality control and transcoding of incoming streams or package transfers to Media Servers.
  • Regularly updating the station router as per event schedules.
  • Identifying and resolving issues and taking immediate preventative action to restore traffic.
  • Coordinating venue feeds for error-free transmission.
  • Conducting routine checks and maintenance of Master Control Room (MCR) equipment, including FMS servers, routers, buzzers, and monitoring tools.
  • Documenting shift reports, technical incidents, and resolutions for future reference.
  • Ensuring monitoring and adjustment of incoming feeds according to broadcasting standards and statutory compliance.
