The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing and monitoring complex system environments, with a strong background in operating systems, application software, and system management tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement high-availability systems infrastructure to ensure optimal system performance and uptime.
  • Manage and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools to ensure smooth system operation.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot system performance issues to identify and resolve potential bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new system architectures and technologies.
  • Develop and implement scripts and automation tools to increase system efficiency and reduce human intervention time.
Requirements and Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you must have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven working experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting UNIX/Linux based environments.
  • Solid experience in administering and performance tuning of application stacks (e.g., Tomcat, JBoss, Apache, Ruby, NGINX).
  • Solid cloud experience, preferably in AWS.
  • Experience with virtualization and containerization (e.g., VMware, Virtual Box).
  • Experience with monitoring systems.
  • Experience with automation software (e.g., Puppet, cfengine, Chef).
  • Solid scripting skills (e.g., shell scripts, Perl, Ruby, Python).
  • Solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP).
