Senior Marketing Contract Specialist

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely and accurate contract management across various commodities to guarantee maximum commercial value realization.
  • Validate trade entries in the trading system against deal blotters as trade recap, providing key points of control to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Conduct thorough data accuracy validation for daily trade entries with direct impact on commercial invoices, ensuring seamless financial operations.

Contract Preparation and Execution:

  • Collaborate with the front office to understand and analyze key contractual terms and conditions.
  • Identify potential contractual term mismatches for purchase and sales contracts, highlighting them to traders for their attention.
  • Work closely with the front office to strategize and incorporate contractual terms in drafting physical contracts to protect our interests.

Contract Administration:

  • Manage effective communication channels with suppliers and customers regarding contracts.
  • Ensure timely submission of blotter by the front office as per standard operating procedure setup.
  • Monitor and track compliance with all contractual obligations to minimize risk exposure.

Contract Reporting:

  • Provide regular and ad-hoc reporting on contract outstanding status and performance metrics.

Group Governance and Risk Management:

  • Execute contract administration activities in alignment with group business integrity and governance policies.
  • Escalate and communicate any contract compliance discrepancies through the appropriate reporting line.

Process Improvements:

  • Support continuous review of standard operating procedures to identify opportunities for improvement and/or efficiency enhancements.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in international commodity operations or logistics environments.
  • Degree qualified in a relevant field such as commerce, engineering, or business (desired).
