Job Title: Strategic Contract Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced contract specialist to join our team. As a strategic contract specialist, you will be responsible for managing the entire contract lifecycle, including contract drafting, negotiation, and administration.

Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with contractual terms and conditions, monitoring contract performance, and taking necessary actions to address any issues. You will also collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement contract management strategies.

In addition, you will review and analyze contract terms and conditions to identify potential risks and propose mitigation measures. Your expertise in contract law and regulations will be essential in navigating complex contractual agreements.

As a strategic contract specialist, you will provide guidance and support to project teams on contract-related matters, manage contract amendments and variations, and ensure accurate and timely contract documentation and record keeping.

You will work closely with legal counsels and project accountants to ensure seamless contract administration. Experience in handling contract disputes and negotiations with suppliers or subcontractors is also highly desirable.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Contracts Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in contracts management, preferably in the engineering industry.
  • Strong knowledge of contracts law and regulations.
  • Experience in contract drafting, negotiation, and administration.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in contract management software and MS Office applications.
  • Membership in a relevant professional organization is a plus.
