**Job Description & Requirements**

The Contract Specialist is responsible to handle bid process, coordinates and administers contracts in accordance with requirements of the project procedures. This position may collaborate with the legal team to ensure that all commercial and contract aspects of the project are properly administered in accordance with the requirements of the Client’s contract. The Contract Specialist is part of the Project Services group under the Commercial and Contracts Department reporting to the Project Contracts Manager. The Contract Specialist should be a self-starter, proactive and hands on approach in his / her work.

**Pre-Award Contract**:

- Support pre-qualification exercise of subcontractors
- Sourcing, preparation, issuance & management of Invitation to Tender/Request for Quotation/Proposal packages, evaluations and clarifications of submitted proposals through recommendation to award
- Review and negotiate Subcontractors’ qualifications and exceptions
- Review contract terms and conditions to verify that they in compliance with company policies.

**Post Award Contract**:

- Liaise with Project Team members to ensure commitments and milestones of subcontracts are achieved and adhered to.
- General subcontracts administration including evaluation of variations defending claims, prepare variation orders.
- Ensure commercial and contractual correspondence with Subcontracts is efficiently handled and filed
- Administrative efforts to ensure that all essential documentation is filed according to system
- Assist in Subcontract audits, reviewing records for accuracy and conformance to standards.
- Coordinate with Project Controllers and Project Accounting on the processing of Subcontractor Invoices.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in law, engineering, construction management or quantity surveying preferred. Minimum five (7) years' working experience
- Preferably experienced in industries of Oil & Gas, Marine and/or Construction Experience in project execution, management and administration of contracts.
- Understanding of basic principles of Contract law
- Ability to comply with applicable laws and regulations, the Company’s Code of Business Conduct, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and other Company policies and procedures.
- Ability to travel overseas for business.

- Proficiency with MS Office Excel, Word and Power Point
