Job Summary

SARAI RESTAURANT PTE. LTD. is seeking a highly skilled Restaurant Operations Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for assisting in the planning and direction of our restaurant operations to ensure efficient, well-prepared, and profitable service of food and beverages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Restaurant Manager in ensuring the smooth operation of the restaurant, including managing staff, inventory, and customer service.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to develop and implement menus that meet customer demands and preferences.
  • Work closely with chefs to plan and execute efficient provisioning and purchasing of supplies, estimate food and beverage costs, and supervise portion control and quantities of preparation to minimize waste.
  • Lead the team on each shift and ensure that company service standards are upheld, including providing excellent customer service and resolving customer complaints.
  • Assist in planning marketing, advertising, and special restaurant functions to drive sales and revenue growth.
  • Direct hiring, training, and scheduling of food service personnel to ensure a high-performing team.
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Prepare and manage financial reports, including meal costs and inventory levels, using our Point of Sales system.
Requirements
  • Minimum GCE 'N' level or equivalent with at least 2 years of relevant experience in the food and beverage industry.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passionate about providing excellent customer service and ensuring high-quality food and beverage offerings.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and one other language.
