Job Title: Resident Support Assistant

 

Job Description:

The primary role of the Resident Support Assistant is to provide support and assistance to registered nurses in delivering high-quality care to residents, maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.

- Assist with duties/procedures assigned by registered nurses.

- Help with personal hygiene care, oral toilet, bathing, and grooming of residents.

- Ensure resident safety, comfort, and well-being, reporting any issues to registered nurses.

- Attend to resident complaints.

- Identify and report residents' needs to registered nurses.

- Assist with serving medicine and ensure residents take their medication as prescribed.

- Assist in serving meals and drinks, ensuring food and beverage safety and hygiene.

- Maintain accurate documentation of care given.

- Assist with nursing procedures and treatments for residents, such as wound dressing.

- Assist with admitting and orienting new residents.

- Perform routine cleaning of the dispensary and equipment.

- Assist with organizing visits for residents to medical check-ups, arranging transport and accompanying residents to hospitals/polyclinics.

- Accompany residents to hospitals/polyclinics for follow-up appointments.

- Participate in outings with residents.

- Perform other duties as assigned by registered nurses.
