Job Title: Senior Mechanical Project Manager

A challenging leadership role for a highly motivated and experienced mechanical engineer to oversee the execution of mechanical engineering projects from basic/detailed design to commissioning and completion.

About the Role:

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing mechanical engineering projects to ensure timely delivery, within quality standards, and to required specifications.
  • This involves reviewing project requirements, contractor specifications, and drawings with the project team, developing and implementing project execution plans, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
  • The candidate will provide on-site engineering services between contractors and internal teams to maintain construction control, including site safety, supervision, and safe work permit coordination.
  • Investigate technical problems arising during construction and ensure formal resolution between contractors and internal teams.
  • Report to project managers and liaise with discipline engineers to ensure proper coordination and interface among different disciplines.
  • Ensure adherence to project requirements and specifications.
  • Lead cross-functional teams, including project management, discipline engineers, consultants, contractors, and vendors.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal teams.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience in project engineering roles, preferably in mechanical engineering disciplines of EPC chemical process plants is advantageous.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing projects from detail engineering to completion.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, codes, and standards.
  • Willingsness to be posted overseas for long-term assignments.
