Senior Application Support Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned and experienced Senior Application Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical and business support for users of our applications, ensuring high quality and innovative solutions.
Job DescriptionThe Senior Application Support Specialist will play a key role in maintaining application systems, managing and supporting applications and their operating environments, focusing on stability, quality and functionality against service level expectations. They will also be responsible for identifying ways to maximize the potential of our applications used, assessing risk and impact of production issues, and escalating to business and technology management in a timely manner.
The successful candidate will have excellent analytical skills, strong communication and diplomacy skills, and the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision. They will also have the ability to exercise independence of judgment and autonomy.
Required Skills and Qualifications- 5-8 years' experience in Application support role for Prime or Equities businesses.
- Experience with Linux/Unix, SQL is a must.
- Good Knowledge of scripting in Linux and Python.
- Experience in messaging Technologies like Solace, Tibco, MQ or Kafka will be preferred.
- Experience in using batch scheduling tools like Autosys and monitoring tool like ITRS Geneos will be preferred.
