Job SummaryThe ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a diverse fleet of commercially managed vessels, including gas carriers and dry bulk ships. Key responsibilities include planning and executing procedures for bunkering, issuing cargo documents, stowage plans, and invoicing.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor vessel performance relative to charter requirements, including speed and consumption;
- Identify underperformance issues and take corrective action to improve efficiency;
- Mitigate potential issues with difficult cargoes, ports, or trading areas;
- Develop market analysis and reports on various shipping sectors.
Additionally, the successful candidate will possess strong relationship management skills, hands-on knowledge of commercial management, and experience in operations and chartering of gas carriers. A degree in Engineering, preferably in Maritime, is also preferred.
