- We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Cost Specialist to work with us. The ideal candidate will have expertise in quantity surveying, construction materials, and methods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review construction plans and prepare detailed cost estimates.
- Project costs for various materials and resources needed for a project.
- Coordinate with Site Managers and other team members to ensure timely completion and budget adherence.
- Prepare contracts, legal documents, and invoices.
- Monitor maintenance and material costs, as well as contracts, to secure the best deals.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in the construction industry.
- Member of relevant professional associations is an advantage.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other drafting software.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and measurement techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
- Familiarity with quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam) is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, good communication, and teamwork skills.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
