Overview

Wealth and Personal Banking (WPB) is a key business area at HSBC, responsible for providing customers with borderless banking and world-class wealth management capabilities. As a Senior Manager, Strategy and Growth Initiatives, you will play a crucial role in driving the formulation and execution of strategic projects across WPB South & Southeast Asia.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced professional to support the Director, Strategy and Growth Initiatives in formulating the strategic vision and priorities for WPB South & Southeast Asia. Key responsibilities include conducting market reviews, developing critical analysis, collaborating with stakeholders, and overseeing strategy implementation in WPB markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Director, Strategy and Growth Initiatives in formulating the strategic vision and priorities for WPB South & Southeast Asia.
  • Conduct regular market reviews and develop critical analysis to facilitate management decision-making.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to drive the implementation of special projects, including immediate business problem fixes.
  • Oversight strategy implementation in WPB markets, ensuring strategic objectives are met.
  • Support group strategy for M&A deals, coordinating administrative processes as needed.
  • Fulfill ad-hoc individual strategic analysis/requests, contributing to larger projects.
  • Prepare or coordinate strategy-related content for HBAP Forums, Investors, Board meetings, and senior management meetings.
  • Develop ESG strategy for WPB in South Asia, partnering with Sustainability and Group WPB.
  • Prepare regular competitor benchmarking across the Region, informing management decision-making.
  • Drive collaboration agenda within WPB and with other LOBs, across the Region and in coordination with Markets and Group.
  • Facilitate best practices and collaboration across Proposition, Acquisition, and Product and Pricing.
  • Set up governance to monitor progress and take corrective actions when needed.
  • Support regional cross-border strategy deployment, facilitating engagement and participating in projects.
  • Support customer growth strategy and distribution optimization across Markets.
  • Coordinate partnerships strategy and maintain market landscape vision, competitive pressure, and partnership opportunities.

Requirements

  • Experience in strategy formulation, execution roadmap design, and tracking.
  • Market experience in consumer banking, wealth, or private banking preferred.
  • Strong team spirit and collaboration skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Well-developed project management skills and proven track record in multi-function projects.
  • Stakeholder management experience at senior level across the HSBC Group or comparable organization.
  • SIGNIFICANT interpersonal skills and ability to navigate different sets of stakeholders.
  • Culturally sensitive and experienced working with multi-geography teams.
  • Result-oriented, capable of working under pressure, and multitasking.
  • Digital experience and capabilities valued.

Salary Range

$120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
