Mid Market Sales Manager

At Datadog, we're looking for an experienced Sales Manager to lead our Mid Market Sales Team. This role is responsible for providing strategy, mentorship, and guidance to a team of Mid Market Account Executives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving sales growth, developing and maintaining accurate team forecasts, and facilitating the ramp-up for new team members.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Motivate and inspire your team to drive sales growth and exceed objectives.
  2. Develop and maintain accurate team forecasts, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
  3. Hire, train, and oversee a team of Mid Market Account Executives.
  4. Drive lead generation, high activity standards, and pipeline management to achieve sales targets.
  5. Facilitate the ramp-up for new team members, coaching them to success.
  6. Monitor the sales funnel from prospect to close and create metrics to improve performance.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience in hi-tech direct sales.
  2. Familiarity with SaaS/Cloud and Salesforce.
  3. Able to accurately forecast team performance and drive sales growth.
  4. Passionate about coaching, mentorship, and team management.
  5. Motivated by helping people grow and develop their skills.
  6. A self-starter who thrives in a high-growth, rapidly changing marketplace.
  7. Proven experience in overseeing an outbound sales team in all areas of the sales cycle.
