Project Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Project Director to spearhead the construction and delivery of a high-profile luxury resort in Southeast Asia.

  • Main Responsibilities:
    • Provide strategic leadership and oversight for the successful completion of the resort project.
    • Establish strong relationships with stakeholders, including owners, consultants, contractors, local authorities, and vendors.
    • Develop executable plans aligned with timelines, quality standards, and budget constraints.
    • Oversee the preparation of masterplans, site layouts, architectural and engineering designs in collaboration with consultants.
    • Ensure compliance with local legislation through permitting, licensing, and regulatory approvals.
    • Evaluate and advise on procurement strategies, contracts, and risk management frameworks.
    • Lead the construction execution, ensuring adherence to timelines, cost targets, and quality standards.
    • Monitor contractor performance, issue resolution, and progress reporting.
    • Maintain health, safety, and environmental compliance across all site activities.
    • Manage the project budget, cost tracking, and reporting.
    • Authorize and monitor major project expenditures, claims, and variations.
    • Promote financial transparency aligning with board-level requirements.
    • Foster a high-performing multi-disciplinary project team.
    • Coordinate with owners, investors, hotel operators, designers, and other key partners.
    • Deliver regular project updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Requirements:
    • At least 15 years of experience in large-scale construction project management, with at least 5 years in hospitality (hotels or resorts).
    • A proven track record of delivering luxury resort or 5-star hotel projects in Asia or similar international markets.
    • A deep understanding of design, construction, and FF&E for hospitality projects.
    • Experience working with international hotel operators and brand standards.
    • A strong knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., FIDIC or local equivalents).
    • Prior experience in Southeast Asia, ideally with familiarity in local regulations and permitting.
    • A background in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
    • PMP or similar certification is a plus.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
    • The ability to manage cross-cultural teams and international consultants.
    • A strategic thinker with strong problem-solving abilities.
